International Cooperations
IFEES
International Federation of Engineering Education Societies
The aim of IFEES is to promote engineering education
globally and to enhance its quality by bringing together members from
engineering education societies around the world to share teaching methods,
curriculum plans, and every other aspect of educating engineers, to include
those organizations from developing countries.
Information technology and global communications have drastically
altered the engineering field, making such collaborations, cultural
understanding and mutual learning a real value to the engineering education
community.

SEFI
SEFI was founded in 1973 as a non-profit making organisation. Together with IGIP both societies represent the largest network of higher
engineering institutions and of individuals involved in engineering
education in Europe.
SEFI has the mission to contribute to the development and the improvement of
the engineering education in Europe.

CARTAGENA NETWORK OF ENGINEERING CNE
The Faculties and Schools of Engineering and other institutions involved
in the training of Engineers from a number of countries from all over the
world established in September 2006 a network to promote the training of
engineers under the concept of cross border higher education and to work
together under the concept of establishing agreements of multilateral
cooperation between institutions. These institutions are willing to promote
the mobility of students and professors, as well as business internships,
double diplomas, masters and doctorate degrees, and even the mobility of
institutions for complementing those belonging to the countries in areas of
common interest.
ENIM
In 2007 an agreement for cooperation in the areas of training and
research in engineering was signed between the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs
de Metz (ENIM) and IGIP. ENIM is a strong member of CNE. In the next five
years IGIP and ENIM wishes to cooperate in existing or establish new joint
training and master programmes, do research and supervision of student
trainees, do exchange of students, professors and trainees to work on
pre-defined projects, do joint application for financing from national,
European or international funding agencies, and wishes to develop frameworks
for the exchange of industrial partners.
ASEE
IGIP and ASEE, the American Society for Engineering Education, are both committed to furthering education in engineering and engineering technology.
ASEE accomplishes this mission by promoting excellence in instruction, research, public service, and practice; exercising worldwide leadership; fostering the technological education of society; and providing quality products and services to members. The Society seeks to encourage local, national, and international communication and collaboration; influence corporate and government policies and involvement; promote professional interaction and lifelong learning; utilize effectively the Society's human and other resources; recognize outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations; encourage youth to pursue studies and careers in engineering and engineering technology; and influence the recruitment and retention of young faculty and underrepresented groups.

IEEE-ES
The IEEE, a non-profit organization, is the world's leading professional
association for the advancement of technology.
The full name of the IEEE is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers, Inc., although the organization is referred to by the letters
I-E-E-E and pronounced Eye-triple-E.
The Education Society of IEEE has a long tradition of relations to IGIP.

ENAEE
European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education ENAEE is
engaged in launching. in accord with its General Policy Statement and in
collaboration with the EUR-ACE Implementation and PRO-EAST projects, the EUR-ACE
European accreditation system of engineering programmes.
In this system (described in detail in EUR-ACE document A2) National
Agencies accredit study programmes, as they already do, and the EUR-ACE
label can be added to the accreditation, provided the Agency and the
programme satisfy the EUR-ACE Framework Standards). The label will
distinguish between "First Cycle Degree" and "Second Cycle Degree", in
accord with the European Qualification Framework.
IGIP is currently one of the members of ENAEE.

COPEC
The Council of Researches in Education and Sciences is constituted by
scientists of the several areas of human knowledge and citizens committed
with education.
It is a council, which works have the goal to enhance and to maintain
relations between universities, institutions of education, enterprises and
the society of several countries to discuss education,
technology and sciences directions. COPEC is a national organization
connected with the Brazilian Ministry of Sciences and Technology, the
Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment of Brazil.
