Membership

- Requirements: Individual Membership

For an individual membership of IGIP are no requirements.

Everyone interested in modern engineering education is welcome to contribute and to participate in an ongoing discussion about innovations that improve all aspects of engineering education.

With IGIP everyone can learn easily about improvements in engineering education. IGIP should be your forum for learning about new developments, but also for sharing your ideas with your colleagues, worldwide.

- Information about the IGIP Curriculum

IGIP has established a curriculum for engineering pedagogy which is used in several countries. It wants to guarantee an up-to-date pedagogical background for any teacher / instructor in engineering, where ever these teaching / instructing will take place.

Additional recommendations have been published how the IGIP curriculum should be fulfilled in any engineering pedagogy course (pdf 235 Kb), if this engineering pedagogy course should lead to an certification as ING PAED IGIP. More information about the IGIP PAED IGIP register is available here.

- Requirements: Institutional Membership

Institutional memberships are open for all institutions, not only teaching according to the IGIP curriculum.

For any educational institution or other teaching establishment interested in engineering education matters an IGIP membership is open. Additionally, all enterprises, employing engineers or interested in the education and training of the engineers, are welcome as institutional members.
 

- Requirements: Institutions interested in establishing an Engineering Pedagogy Course according to the IGIP Curriculum

Institutions who want to teach according to the IGIP curriculum have to be accredited by the IGIP International Monitoring Committee and reaccredited every five years.

If you want to register an engineering pedagogy course for accreditation, please download the form in English (doc 263 Kb) or in German (doc 137 Kb ), fill it out and send it to the Monitoring Committee of your country or to the IGIP office.
